The South Orange County Regional Chambers of Commerce takes its role as THE voice for business in South Orange County very seriously. We also want to ensure you have the opportunity to voice your issues or concerns with your elected officials as well as those running for public office. You have two opportunities this month.

On Friday, March 19 at 7:30 a.m., the South Orange County Regional Chamber is co-hosting a Meet and Greet with Assemblyman Chuck Devore. Assemblyman Devore is a candidate for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Barbara Boxer. Mark your calendars now. This follows our successful meeting with Senate candidate and former HP CEO Carly Fiorina last week. Details will follow regarding the Devore event next week.

A week later, the South Orange County Chamber and its partners in the Legislative Alliance of Southern Orange County (LASOC) will be hosting campaign representatives from the various initiatives on the June 2010 ballot, many of which WILL impact your business one way or another. The event takes place at 7:30 a.m. Friday, March 26 at Saddleback College. Details to follow.

Finally, you have the opportunity to take an active role in the Chamber’s ongoing legislative advocacy activities as a member of the Legislative Action Committee (LAC). The committee meets every third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. in the Laguna Woods Community Center. This month’s meeting takes place on March 17.
