About Personal Injury Attorney Paul Smith
Paul M. Smith II was born on December 5, 1977 in San Diego, California. He was raised in California and has lived in California his entire life, with the exception of undergraduate and graduate school and a two-year volunteer mission to Bogota, Colombia.
Mr. Smith graduated from Brigham Young University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in Latin American Studies. After obtaining his B.A., Mr. Smith attended the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 2005. Upon graduation, Mr. Smith returned to California and began practicing law that same year. Mr. Smith is fluent in Spanish.
Mr. Smith dedicated the first few years of his practice to insurance defense work. During this time, he gained valuable insight into how insurance companies work and how they determine the value of cases and ultimately settle or litigate those cases. After a few years, Mr. Smith found that representing large corporations — and not individuals — was not fulfilling. Since then, Mr. Smith’s practice has focused on representing individuals who face the daunting task of going up against these large corporations, including insurance companies.
Mr. Smith’s focus is on client satisfaction. Every case receives equal attention, no matter how large or small, complex or simple. Mr. Smith fights hard to make sure that the individuals he represents receive what they are entitled to under the law. Simply put, neither large corporations nor insurance companies take advantage of Mr. Smith’s clients.
